Accessibility Statement
This accessibility statement covers Consonance’s public-facing marketing website (https://www.consonance.app) and all client instances of our software.
We’re committed to making Consonance accessible and easy for everyone to use. We work to conform to the WCAG 2.1 Level AA or later, as referenced by relevant regulations including EN 301 549 (EU), the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882), the UK Equality Act 2010, and the ADA.
We’ve designed Consonance to be easy for everyone to use. You can:
- Navigate using only a keyboard.
- Listen to the site with a screen reader, which is software that reads on-screen content aloud.
- Change colours, fonts and contrast via browser extensions. We have checked a sample of these extensions for compatibility with our software.
- Zoom in without losing content or functionality.
We’ve also made sure that:
- Buttons, forms and controls are clearly labelled and understandable to assistive technologies.
- Colour contrast meets accessibility standards.
- Error messages are easy to spot and understand.
- Moving or updating content remains accessible.
- Help materials are available in accessible formats.
- We test with automated tests and also through human review by qualified staff members.
Compliance status
Our websites are partially compliant with the WCAG version 2.2 Level AA standard, due to the non-compliance listed below.
Consonance, our main web application product, is tested using axe-core, an automated accessibility testing tool. We use the following axe-core rule tags:
wcag22aabest-practice
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reason:
Some pages use browser-built-in HTML5 drag-and-drop functionality. This lets users move items with a pointer, but does not yet offer a keyboard alternative. This does not include drag and drop on the metadata page, which uses a separate JavaScript library with keyboard-accessible options.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We continue to review our services against the WCAG version 2.2 Level AA standard and fixing issues where we find them. We prioritise barriers that affect key tasks, essential information, keyboard access, screen reader support, forms, error messages and content structure.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
